Windows 7 ultimate multiple user license

The idea is that you are a repeat customer, and you get a price break because you already paid for a full Windows license earlier. Retail upgrades qualify for free technical support from Microsoft, even if the copy you're replacing was originally supplied by an OEM. So who qualifies for a Windows 7 upgrade license? To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade.

Upon upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software you upgraded from. After you upgrade, you may no longer use the software you upgraded from. So, if you want to dual-boot on a system that is currently using a single Windows license, you need to have a full license for your new copy, not a retail upgrade.

As the table on the first page indicates, you can transfer a retail upgrade license to a new PC. This fact confuses some people. Remember that the PC on which you install the upgrade must have a qualifying license first. So if you buy a new PC with an OEM Windows license, you can remove your retail upgrade from the old PC restoring its original, un-upgraded Windows edition and install your retail upgrade on the new PC.

This is covered in Section 17 of the Windows 7 license:. You may transfer the software and install it on another computer for your use. That computer becomes the licensed computer. You may not do so to share this license between computers. According to wording on the retail upgrade media, "This [setup] program will search your system to confirm your eligibility for this upgrade. I've written briefly about this recently and will have much more on the mechanics of the process later, after I complete some testing and interview some Microsoft engineers.

I saved the high-priced spreads for last. The full license product represents the highest price you can pay as a consumer, but it also includes the most generous license. Big customers who are willing to buy in bulk can get full-featured editions of Windows, bundled with support contracts and special benefits, by signing up for Volume License agreements. Here's how these two products work. You can install it on any PC, new or old. You can boot from the installation media and set up Windows 7 on a PC with a squeaky clean hard drive without having to jump through a single hoop.

You can install it on any Mac, in a virtual machine or using Boot Camp. You can install it in a virtual machine in Windows as well. You can even use it as an upgrade for a previous edition although you pay more for the privilege than you need to. FPP products are premium-priced, but for some circumstances they make sense. And for customers who are willing to pay that premium to have no license hassles whatsoever, this is the way to go. We do a lot of small site deployments in South Africa and have a hard limit of 4 when deploying new sites, this allows for a little growth.

Server R2 or Foundation editions are the cheapest server products that will provide Terminal Services. Bear in mind that Terminal Services, unless using the 2 administrative licenses, incurs an additional cost per 5 users. I have used thinstuff for many Windows 7 Application server type setups ie where many people connect to a pc running windows 7 pro and thinstuff and can run any installed program on that PC.

Just go to the thinstuff webshop and there is different pricing based on the number of users. I'd be very wary about the legality of this. Even the thinstuff website legalese is very coy on the subject.

I do know that the Eula from at least Windows 7 specifically says one user at a time, period. I have an old ERP application which is working on windows terminal server over VPN but unfortunately I could not upgrade my application to work on win server higher than , the maximum I could do is to make it works well in windows 7 , I tried thinstuff terminal server it is very good for me but I face a problem in printing that does not install the default printer of the clients automatically so I made it shared printer and then added it in client machine which makes the print order very slow more than 2 minutes , Have anyone an Idea to solve this please?

You can download the termsrv. Run the install batch file. And if you are not running RC, change this line in the batch file to match your version number.

Download the zipped file and extract the content onto your computer. There are 2 patch executable files, one for bit and one for the bit edition of Windows 7. Launch one that suits your operating system you want to patch.

Right-click the Patch Executable file and Run as Administrator, click Patch button and the patch will make a backup copy of original TermSrv. It works like a charm on my computer. After 2 sign-ins using different user accounts here is what it looks like. If you are looking for doing the same thing on Windows 8 or Windows 10, check out the following posts.

Any way to do this via GPO? Seems to be a much needed service feature turned off that should be turned on. Would be a pain to do this on s of machines. The fellows over at thegreenbutton. The utility works great, it will even tell you if the system has already been patched.

If it was illegal they wouldnt have put in the Switch user or logon as another user button….
