Because I commonly connect via a wire at the office and via wireless at home the default route could be either one based on when I last rebooted the laptop. I then start the remote desktop manager sofware and open the session to this customer I reconfigured it without the vpn connection and the rdp session starts fine too and stays connected. I close the session and then manually disconnect the vpn command line.
In this way it works fine When I tried the vpn connection with the remote desktopmanager software it disconnects again in a few seconds.

Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Everything works as it should until I get to messing with the VPN. I set up it all normally and everything, no problem. However, it is when I turn it on the first time that everything goes haywire. I can connect just fine.
